Sustainable Architecture of Multi-Scale Project- Piacenza Campus
The  curriculum aims to complete a highly qualified educational course by emphasizing on the Architecture and the Urban designing as the central theme, from a dual standpoint: Environmental sustainability (spatial, social, technical) and Multi-scalar design (from landscape, to urban design and to the architectural design). The programme profile is oriented to train an architect to develop a particular sensitivity to the issues sustainable architecture in relation to the multiple scales of design: ranging from the transformation of the landscape, to the design of public space and the specific components of the architecture. The theme of the sustainability, as the center focus for the two-year program, is interpreted into three primary aspects:physical and spatial sustainability; social and cultural sustainability;technical and infrastructural sustainability, beyond a strictly specialized theme. In parallel, the multi-scale approach is central to the education of an architect and is reinterpreted in a dynamic and open manner, where time becomes a key factor in the design: ranging from the macro-scale planning and urban planning practices, the intermediate scale of the urban and public space design, and the micro-scale of the technical detailing and the architectural elements.
