    About

This track focuses on the design of architectural artifacts, places, and spaces at a detailed scale, investigating the relationships between human actions and spatial forms, as well as the complex interactions between inhabited space, the environment, and well-being in their broadest and most inclusive sense. Design is approached through a trans-scalar and multidisciplinary lens that explores the relationship between interior and exterior, from private to public spaces, from interior design to contextual integration, from furniture to environmental components. The design disciplines engage in continuous dialogue with fields such as architectural history, the humanities and social sciences, art, urban and landscape studies, and research on comfort and well-being. Key topics include the design of both new and existing spaces, interior architecture and essential equipment, as well as temporary and museographic installations, scenography, and furniture design.
